Punky began life as a craft beer fillery in industrial Christchurch with two main objectives; 'try before you buy' tap beer samples and ensuring optimal storage in an effort to maintain freshness. The goal was to remove the dice roll from the craft beer experience. If you're going to pay for quality beer, you're best to know what it's going to taste like first!
After one year of trading this way, we were approached by an Auckland brewery looking for a bit of representation in the South. The next year we were approached by two more. It didn't take long for us to establish some really tight relationships with veterans of the craft beer community who gave us the advice and support that we needed to continue growing the Punky portfolio. |
From a chiller half the size of your living room to a bona fide industrial warehouse, seven years later we are humbled and incredibly grateful to represent what we unanimously believe are the best beers, wines, ciders and spirits available in the country. We are a full-time distribution centre with skin in the game of the industry that we love.
